Before starting on pilates exercises program, pilates beginners should assess their own needs and goals.

This article discusses some of the pilates questions pilates beginners should ask themselves before choosing the pilates studio or pilates program.

Often, beginners new to Pilates would like to know what Pilates is and how to start Pilates. I remembered vividly, this person that called and with some hesitation to confess that she is new to Pilates. She is puzzled about everything about Pilates such as over the choice of Pilates Mat Classes and Pilates Machine Classes, and whether Pilates Private Training Programs are preferred over Pilates Group Training. Check it out before you embark .

Self Assessment Questions:

1. Why decide on Pilates?
2. Are you looking for general fitness or pilates pain relief, i.e. knee pain relief?
3. How many times can you commit to doing Pilates weekly?

People who embark on Pilates are:

1. Those finding for pain relief
2. People who are tight but not suffering any pain.

The first group wants to do Pilates for instant pain relief. The latter wants to lengthen all tight muscles and develop core strength and flexibility. Both mean an enhancement in the quality of life which usually also indicate it is a long term commitment.

Of course Pilates does more than that but  how desperately do you want it? How strong-minded are you?

Most of the times, failure comes from the lack of willpower and determination rather than the pilates training program itself. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that you give it your resolute consideration even before you commit to a pilates training program.

We will chat about how to assess the pilates studios, the important questions to inquire in the sequel of this article.
